Abbreviated Course Profiles Print E-mail

Excerpts from the for-sale version of new course profiles are available here free of charge.  Each provides a recommended list of performance indicators and recommended sequencing.  Find the more complete versions in our online store.  Search product type = “curriculum.”    (Note: Additional titles from the MBA Programs-of-Study models are forthcoming in 2009-2010.)

Need help figuring out content priorities for your courses?  Course profiles offer help with content decisions and with how to organize the content over the year. Each profile is part of the overall MBAResearch curriculum model that includes:

• Programs-of-study (sold separately) provide the big-picture view, including recommended course offerings (academic and technical) and other information important to developing your business administration program.
• Course Profiles (sold separately) provide a quick overview of the content for an individual course, including recommendations for sequencing.  (Note:  Excerpts from the Course Profiles are available free in the Resources section of the MBAResearch web site.)
• Course Guides (sold separately) provide a more in-depth look at each course, including project and activity ideas, etc.  (You do not need to purchase both a Course Profile and a Course Guide for the same course.  Information contained in the profiles is also contained in the guides.)
• LAP Modules (sold separately) offer in-depth content for individual performance indicators.  Use LAPs as your daily lesson plan and for substantive student materials.

Talking PBL in Your Classroom Print E-mail

Taking ownership of a project is a key benefit of project-based learning.  Proponents say that ownership leads to engagement, which leads to a deeper level of learning.  But there is another side of the coin: what if students don’t take ownership?  Do they really want to be responsible for the project?  In this exercise, you will ask your students and find out how they feel about their learning.
